“Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, yeah hum decide nahi karte. Par jeena kaise hai woh hum decide kar sakte hain”
With “Dil Bechara” we saw Sushant Singh Rajput for the very last time on screen. Just after completing the shooting of Dil Bechara, he ended his life. Dil Bechara is a Bollywood remake of a Hollywood movie and a novel by John Green “The Fault in our Stars”. Late Sushant Singh Rajput along with Debuting Sanjana Sanghi are paired against each other in the movie.
Kizzie (Sanjana Sanghi) who hails from Jamshedpur and is battling with intense throat cancer that has now spread to her lungs. Because of this, she has to be on oxygen support almost all the time. She wishes to live a normal life like all of the people around her. With rock-solid support from her parents, Kizzie is able to take life as it comes. And, On the other hand, there is Manny (SSR), whom she met at the college first, then at a cancer support group. Manny has survived osteosarcoma and is currently in remission. Things start to change when Kizzie gets to know Manny. Their love, affection, and care for each other starts growing from then and finally falls deep for each other despite their current health situations.
Despite the hidden learnings from the movie where the character of Manny literally wants to steal every moment of the day, the movie is in dispute because of the untimely demise of the actor. Mixed reviews from different people coming from a varied school of thoughts, is creating the buzz. IMDB rated it as 9.8/10, the highest for any Bollywood movie till date.
A lot of viewers are saying that has he (Sushant Singh Rajput) been alive and would people have appreciated his efforts the way they are, after his saddening and untimely demise.
