The movie plot of Khuda Hafiz is based on a real-life incident of Jammwal (Sameer) who got involved into an arranged marriage setup and promised a forever to Shivaleeka Oberoi (Nargis). Both of them are software engineers. The story took a sharp turn when recession hit the country hard, and both lost their jobs.

Nargis hails from Lucknow and has never stepped out of the city. But she got a job first and chose to travel alone. Sameer was left with no other option but to agree. The natural worries and fear that come along with your better half going miles away from you just got real. Nargis went missing right after landing at the airport of Noman.

Vidyut Jammwal, the tough guy with some amazing martial arts skills, doesn’t shy away from crying and getting worried in front of the audience for head over heels in love with his wife. The plot changes the intensity throughout the movie. It fails to hold the attention of the audience. It starts off with a bang but slows down in the missile only to make a booming comeback towards the end.

The overall verdict for the movie is that you can watch it for a lazy Independence day weekend.
