Marzi, a Voot original and an appealing thriller acted by Rajeev Khandelwal and Aahana Kumra, with their impeccable acting skills has drawn immense public attention. A rape incident. One prey. One involved. Who is sinful? Who is twisting? Who is speaking the fact? This show leaves you with questions after each episode.

Dr Anurag’s (Rajeev Khandelwal) date with a school teacher Sameera (Aahana Kumra) points to him being involved in the rape event. Parts specified by Sameera start going dingier as she is healing from crisis after her parents’ death and has not been taking her pills. At times, you believe in Sameera for being ravished by a man and want equity for her. Then, there are times when Anurag seems innocent being fixed for a sin he never did.

With every step during the police inquiry, if one mystery gets solved, there are new one pops up. The story has mentions of #MeToo movement. It takes a more intimate look at obstacles of what a rape victim suffers during her medicinal examination and police interrogation.

The setting of the web series is in Shimla, but little will you watch the beautiful hills. Most of the work befalls inside the restricted walls of either a hospital, a school or in their house. Kudos to writer Radhika Anand and director Anil Senior for a spectacular and intriguing screenplay.
