Hasmukh, a web series on Netflix that speeches about the course of a struggling entertainer from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The series revolves around the events that result in not just piloting him on the spire of success as a comedian but also a serial killer. The star cast features Vir das, Ranveer Shorey, Manoj Pahwa, Ravi Kishan, Amrita Bagchi, Suhail Shourie, Inamulhak, Suhail Nayyar and Raza Murad.
Hasmukh traces his success recipe and is finally drawn to Mumbai for a top reality show, only to find he is losing hold on himself. It is s precise template of a small-town hobo coming to Mumbai to accomplish his dreams. But what makes Hasmukh refreshingly distinct and immensely promising is the pre-play rites Vir’s part has to perform to pull off a gratifying gig.
Having said that, the elements that tick in Hasmukh are Vir Das’s profound depiction of a small town, its people and the secret side of the film and actuality, the TV show industry, where fantasies are easily formed and crushed. Draped in flashy outfits and describing a gripping warmth, Vir Das’s character and its arch also make the series worthy. Ranvir Shorey as the gold-toothed Jimmy Bhaiya and his chemistry with Das, Amrita Bagchi as the influential showrunner and Ravi Kishan as the spooky TV chief are still credible and fun.
As per the great cast and the narrative, Hasmukh is worth watching, but when it comes to interest, it seems a little tedious. You will enjoy this series in parts.
